Description:  This is a mystery as well as a success and humorous story of Nathan Williamson, a black worker from Chigago. Soon after college, he, with his new wife Dolores were transferred from Chicago to the southern town of Springerville. They had to contend with the prejudices, including people in sheets threatening them with guns and someone later burning an effigy of Nathan in their front yard. They eventually overcame those problems and had many friends of many races. Their daughter went away to college and her mother couldn't find her and lost her mind. she talks foolish throughout the book. The plant there closed and he was transferred to Chicago again. Their very best friends were a white couple, that went with them to Chicago and later helped Nathan to open his own successful business. Not being the usual mystery, success story or humorous story, it has a surprising ending.
